Yesterday was the grand opening celebration of the newest
Madewell store in Harbor East in Downtown Baltimore! This is actually the second location for the store in the Maryland area. The other location is nestled in the heart of
Towson Town Center in Towson, MD. I attended the event with my fellow fashionista darlings Jennifer of
Comme Coco and Kizzy of
Kizzy Evae. As soon we entered the store, we were greeted with
Madewell staff welcoming us and a super cute DJ who goes by
@DJFanci who played some fun songs throughout the night to enhance our experience! There are a lot of stylish folks in attendance of course that were having a good time and checking out the store's offerings. Guests were treated to wine cocktails, sparkling water and yummy treats from
Charm City Catering.
Here are a few snaps from the grand opening event are down below! We can't wait to visit again!
Note: We weren't allowed to take many pictures per Madewell management, so we were reduced to limited showings! More official pics will be updated to this post once we get them!
Hello world! It's Teena here, the founder of Maryland Style Bloggers. This is our first post here on MSB! I just want to say thank you so much for visiting the
Maryland Style Bloggers blog. We hope you will become a regular reader and enjoy what we have in store! Stay tuned in the coming months as we are on the move to set things into motion! I just have to say I am so excited to have what started out as a simple idea turn into a real effort and a community! It's the best feeling.
At any rate, let me switch gears and talk about an amazing event that myself and a handful of other local blogger/vloggers and fashion enthusiasts had the pleasure to attend a couple weeks back -- the
Boulevard of Chic event! I was so stoked for this event when I was first contacted about it back in February. It was a day full of fashion trucks, food and vendors! I was sold after that! Say no more. I have been saying for a while now that the city of Baltimore (and Maryland as a whole) has so many creative and stylish people here that there is so reason we can't pull off great fashion events like other cities. I was in attendance as a VIP blogger for this event, so I had a special VIP badge and gift bag waiting for me at the welcoming desk when I arrived. (Holla!) I was also able to partake in yummy cupcakes and sip water in a special media tent especially for all the VIP bloggers in attendance to live blog and network with other bloggers. Fancy!
As soon as I got there, I met the kind
Tracy Beale of
Tracy Beale Jewelry whose jewelry was all handmade and simply to die for. I wanted it all! I chatted with Tracy for a few minutes about her brand and sadly left empty handed, but it was evident that she loved what she does. From there, I took pictures of the various fashion trucks on site. I had no idea there was so many fashion trucks out there! I was in heaven! I think the idea of fashion trucks is simply genius and it brings back that sense of personalized shopping. I got to talk to all of the owners one on one and I got to here their stories on how/why they started their business. It was inspiring to say the least!
A couple of my favorite trucks were Street Boutique owned by who is based out of DC, Side Dish based out of Baltimore
